What Sets Us Apart: Our Facilities
The Duke Adult Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplant Program provides
patient services within two dedicated, fully equipped treatment centers.
The close proximity between clinical and research facilities links the
activities of our care and research teams, allowing them to easily share
updates about patients who are receiving treatment.
ABMT Outpatient Clinic and Treatment Facility is located
in the attractive, modern North Pavilion, two blocks from Duke Hospital.
Open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., the clinic provides extensive outpatient
services for transplant patients including apheresis, chemotherapy,
daily supportive care and other treatments. Amenities include a separate
family and patient lounge with TV, VCR, refrigerator, microwave and
telephone.

ABMT Inpatient Unit is located on the ninth floor
of Duke Hospital. All rooms in this 16-bed unit are private. Patients
are provided with critical care monitoring and protected with a state-of-the-art
air filtration system. Amenities include televisions in the room, as
well as an exercise room and food galley that offers a flexible way
to meet patients’ dietary needs.
Both ABMT facilities employ a dedicated nursing staff that has extensive
experience in caring for transplant patients. As patients transition
between the inpatient and outpatient settings, our nurses and other
team members work closely with each other to provide a strong continuity
of care.
