What Sets Us Apart: Pre-Treatment

The Duke Adult Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplant Program has daily interactions with specialists in all the disciplines involved in the care of patients with hematologic malignancies and marrow failure. We have weekly educational meetings to discuss particularly difficult and instructive patient cases. Together, we design and carry out innovative studies and trials for patients that may or may not also involve bone marrow or stem cell transplantation.

The Hematologic Malignancy program, also in the Division of Cell Therapy, is directed by David A. Rizzieri, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine, and conducts these additional study protocols.
